Peace of Heaven is our God-given vision to transform a low-security former women’s prison in Live Oak, California, currently the Leo Chesney Center, into a healing sanctuary for children and young adults rescued from sex trafficking. Originally constructed with residential-style pods instead of traditional cells, the facility is now being reimagined — not as a place of confinement, but as a place of safety, creativity, and restoration. Soon, these once-sterile halls will be filled with fountains, vibrant murals, playgrounds, and peaceful gardens — all testifying to the goodness and healing power of God.
Many of these children have endured unspeakable trauma — trafficked right here in the United States, some by strangers, others by their own families. But in this reimagined place, they will be safe. They will be seen. And they will be surrounded by the pure, healing love of God. Music, art, gardening, and play will replace fear and silence, and a new chapter will begin for every child who walks through these gates.
The Leo Chesney Center — once valued at $17 million — is now being miraculously secured for just $4 million, a breakthrough in itself. The first half of the funding was raised faithfully over the course of two years, and the final half was brought in quickly and miraculously during our Rev 17 conference, as God stirred hearts across the nation to respond — and one of our original funders was touched by the presence of God to once again go above and beyond the call of duty, and help us secure this building for this grand vision. We are now preparing to close on August 28, 2025, and the transformation of this beautiful property is already bursting within the vision of each and every one on the committee to transform it!
The vision was given to Pastor Dave Bryan of the Church of Glad Tidings, and it has been nurtured through prayer and perseverance since 2023. Our founding leadership team includes national voices such as Troy Brewer, Mary Flynn, Gregg Page, Dr. Doug Frank , Leigh Dundas, and a few of our faithful, hard-working, long-term leaders from Glad Tidings who also serve on the board: Dave Bryan, Lou Benninger, Gary Underhill, and Sharleta Bassett. Together, they carry the wisdom, compassion, and grit needed to steward this exciting mission with excellence.
We will begin by welcoming 20–25 children in the first 6 months , with thoughtful growth over time. Eventually, the campus could house up to 200 or more, but our priority is excellence and care — transforming the space pod-by-pod, heart-by-heart. This will be a protected, loving, pressure-free environment where children and young adults can laugh, learn, and live in the freedom they were created for.
People from all over the U.S. and beyond are linking arms with us — offering prayers, finances, labor, and love. Many of them even moving here, Child psychiatrist, teachers builders and just lovers of God‘s kids , all converting on Little Live Oak !!Peace of Heaven is more than a project; it’s a prophetic act of redemption. A former prison becoming a place of paradise. A testimony that God still brings beauty from ashes — and that every child, no matter how dark their past, has the opportunity Ity for a glorious future!!
