3.
RESCUE THE LOST.
Vision Announcement: August 2026
We are excited to announce to you some important updates and changes taking place at Peace of Heaven, Inc. As you well know, from the beginning, our heart and mission have been simply to save the children. That calling has not changed!
Over the past several months, our board and leadership team have been prayerfully evaluating everything we have learned since acquiring the former Leo Chesney Center in Live Oak, including the realities of construction, licensing, therapeutic care, rescue partnerships, and meeting the tremendous need facing exploited children.
Through that process, this conviction has become increasingly clear:
Peace of Heaven is more than a piece of property. It is about the children we seek to serve.
The Live Oak campus has helped us envision what sanctuary could look like, and we remain extraordinarily grateful for how God provided it. But we also have a responsibility to ask how the resources entrusted to us can reach children more quickly and effectively.
For that reason, we are temporarily suspending construction at the Live Oak campus and have decided to list the property for sale in order to explore whether a sale could provide the best and most effective path forward. If sold, our intention is to redeploy those “redoubled” resources toward the original mission of Peace of Heaven by establishing smaller therapeutic residential homes that can be opened incrementally as we grow.
This is not a retreat from the vision.
It is a strategic advancement of it that may well allow us to do more, for more children, much sooner than is probable by wrestling with city, county and state over a myriad of zoning, certification and licensing issues. We are not willing to keep the children waiting while bureaucrats stall with endless red tape and costly requirements that could largely be avoided by simply altering our strategy. We are ALL agreed that time is of the essence, and that waiting may prove to be vastly more expensive in time, money, and human life!!!
The vision of Peace of Heaven remains unchanged, and more compelling than ever!!! It is simply our strategy that may need some fine-tuning to be most effective AND most efficient!
Peace of Heaven is moving forward around three connected assignments that remain unchanged and unalterable:
RESIST: We are expanding our mission to help mobilize a movement of abolitionists committed to ending child sex slavery. This includes calling for national repentance for its root causes and raising up prayer, awareness, advocacy, and action.
RESCUE: We are expanding our mission to fuel national and global rescue efforts by forming strategic partnerships with trusted organizations actively engaged in rescuing children.
RESTORE: We are right now pursuing licensing to focus on small-scale residential therapeutic care for rescued victims of trafficking. This will begin with one home serving up to six children, with the goal of opening by the end of 2026, followed by as many additional homes as the Lord allows us to open!
Our respected Board of Directors has agreed unanimously that this option may well prove to be the wisest course forward and has agreed to list the property for commercial sale to see whether this strategy may prove to be the best and quickest path toward our ultimate goal of actually RESCUING KIDS from the horrors of Child Sex Trafficking!
Our original dream gave us a picture of a place where rescued children could heal.
We believe Peace of Heaven is called not only to create places of restoration, but to become part of a greater movement that resists the evil, helps rescue the child, and creates pathways toward restoration.
The need is urgent. Children are waiting. And we do not want unnecessary time, complexity, or infrastructure to keep us from becoming a meaningful part of the answer AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
THE MISSION REMAINS! THE STRATEGY IS BEING REFINED AND SHARPENED!
God’s Word reminds us in the Proverbs of Solomon that, “Man may plan his way, BUT THE LORD WILL DIRECT EACH STEP!” (Proverbs 16:9). If we are wise, we will be sensitive to that process!
We are deeply grateful for every donor, volunteer, church, partner, and friend who has carried this vision with us.
We honor you. Nothing of your time, energy or resources has gone unnoticed and all will be used toward the vision we have embarked on together.
You have helped build the relationships, infrastructure, awareness, experience, and momentum that have brought Peace of Heaven to this moment. And, we believe the next chapter may allow Peace of Heaven to reach more children, more quickly, than we first imagined.
Please continue to pray with us for wisdom, favor, unity, and courage as we move forward.
For the Children,
Pastor Dave, President, Board of Directors
Our Beginnings
Pastor Dave Bryan of the Church of Glad Tidings awoke to this vision few years ago as God spoke to him about the children and the crisis at hand. He began to share with his leadership team and friends in the nation about what He had heard. The vision was nurtured through countless hours of prayer and tireless perseverance. This passion came not only from our Founder but also our Board and the team of staff and volunteers that have been assembled for such a time as this.
We are profoundly grateful to the Church of Glad Tidings family and team, who ran with the vision since its inception with great passion, excellence and conviction to change the lives of rescued children. Together with a global community of compassionate individuals who have united around this powerful cause, we are deeply honored to step forward into the next chapter of the Peace of Heaven mission to establish a first-of-its-kind facility dedicated to the rescue and restoration of children impacted by the tragedy of child sex trafficking.
The Leo Chesney Center
Peace of Heaven is more than a project; it’s a prophetic act of redemption. A former prison becoming a place of paradise. A testimony that God still brings beauty from ashes — and that every child, no matter how dark their past, has the opportunity for a glorious future!!
The Leo Chesney Center — once valued at $17 million has been miraculously reduced in priced to $1.2 million dollars. This was one of many miracles that have occurred as we have moved forward with the vision of POH. Much of the funding was raised over the course of 2 years and there was a huge miraculous breakthrough last summer at the Rev 17 conference that was hosted and sponsored by the Church of Glad Tidings for the sake of Peace of Heaven. There, God stirred hearts across the nation to respond — and one of our original funders was touched by the presence of God to once again go above and beyond the call of duty, and help us secure this building for this grand vision.
While we currently have ceased construction and are entertaining the sale of the Leo Chesney Center, the vision for large venue healing centers remain even as we pursue small centers in the near term.
How Healing Happens
Healing looks different for every child — and we honor that.
Peace of Heaven’s vision is rooted in individualized care plans that support each resident’s unique journey. Services are designed to address the full scope of recovery, including emotional healing, education, life preparation, and personal growth.
Our holistic approach includes:
Trauma-informed therapeutic care
Counseling and emotional support
In-house academic instruction or educational partnerships
Life skills training and vocational preparation
Structured routines that build stability and confidence
We believe healing happens through consistency, trust, and love — not coercion or timelines.
A Home-Like Environment
The environment matters.
Our vision includes a residential setting that feels calm, welcoming, and dignified — where each youth has personal space, shared community areas, nutritious meals, and daily rhythms that promote safety and stability.
Every element of the home is intentionally designed to communicate:
You are safe
You are valued
You belong here
Preparing for the Future
Peace of Heaven’s vision does not end when a child turns eighteen.
We are committed to long-term restoration and preparation for independence. As residents grow, they are supported in developing practical life skills, financial literacy, healthy relationships, and vocational readiness. When appropriate, Peace of Heaven assists with transitional planning, job readiness, and continued aftercare support.
No child will be forced to leave before he or she is ready.
Faith in Action
Peace of Heaven is guided by faith — not as a requirement, but as a foundation.
We believe God’s heart is for the broken, the forgotten, and the oppressed. Our work is an expression of that belief, lived out through compassion, excellence, and service. While our care is professional and evidence-based, our motivation is deeply spiritual: to reflect God’s love through action.
Looking Ahead
Our vision is bold and intentional.
As Peace of Heaven grows, we seek to expand capacity, deepen partnerships, and broaden the scope of care offered to survivors of trafficking. Every step forward is grounded in prayer, accountability, and a commitment to doing this work with integrity.
To start we will begin by welcoming 6-12 children in the first 6 months after opening and doubling our capacity within the year. Our growth will be thoughtful and steady. Eventually, the campus could house up to 200 or more, but our priority is excellence and care as we seek to transform the space pod-by-pod and heart-by-heart.
Our mission in each step and phase of development is to build a safe, loving, pressure-free environment where children and young adults can laugh, learn, and live in the freedom they were created for.
Peace of Heaven is more than a place. It is a promise.
